 Empowering Future Analysts:  Experience at the SQL and PowerBI Workshop at GRD College

As a part of Sadhvi Academy, I had the incredible opportunity to conduct a two-day workshop on SQL and Power BI at GRD College on February 5th and 6th. This experience was insightful and truly inspiring, as we interacted with enthusiastic MBA students eager to dive into the world of data analytics.

Day 1: Laying the foundation with SQL

We kicked off the workshop with SQL, the backbone of data management. The students were introduced to the fundamentals of database management, querying techniques, and data retrieval. Through hands-on practice, they explored:

✅ Writing SQL queries to extract meaningful insights
✅ Using SELECT, WHERE, GROUP BY, and JOIN operations
✅ Understanding real-world applications of databases

What stood out was the students' eagerness to explore beyond the basics. They were actively engaged, asking thoughtful questions about how SQL plays a crucial role in real-world businesses and data-driven decision-making.

Day 2: Visualizing Insights with PowerBI

The second day was all about Power BI, a powerful tool for data visualization and business intelligence. We guided students through:

✅ Connecting Power BI to databases and importing data
✅ Creating interactive dashboards and reports
✅ Applying DAX functions for advanced analysis

Students were excited to see their SQL queries turn into dynamic and interactive reports. Many shared how this workshop helped them understand how businesses make data-driven decisions with the power of analytics.

Students Interactions: A Two-Way Learning Experience

One of the highlights of this workshop was the interactive Q&A sessions. The students were curious about:
